Equine body work can benefit every horse, regardless of shape or size, within every discipline, from your hairy, happy-hacks to high performance horses.

Polossage was founded by Katie Flint EBW. Katie has an extensive background in horses, having qualified as a Riding Instructor, NVQ Assessor and competed in most equestrian disciplines. Following a season managing a polo yard in New Zealand, she became a keen player herself. Based in East Anglia, she competes regularly on her 3 ponies.

Katie is a fully qualified Equine Body Worker, having studied and qualified with Equinology Inc. She continues to further her education and is currently working towards achieving her Advanced Level Equine Sports Massage.

Like humans, horses can suffer from sore, fatigued muscles and aching limbs. They can benefit hugely from the effects that the right touch can have.

Manipulation of the body's soft tissues encourages the muscles to relax, stretching and loosening the tissue fibres.

Incorporating massage into a regular training programme has been proven to increase range of motion. In a healthy, sound horse this means enhanced movement which is highly beneficial to disciplines requiring stamina, strength and agility such as racing, showjumping, eventing and polo.

As with humans, it takes a range of professionals to provide good, all round care for your horse. Sports Massage is a great complimentary therapy when used working alongside your vet, farrier, saddler, trainer etc., contributing specialist attention to encourage optimal health, performance and comfort for your horse.
